Look out Orlando, Florida! My family and I are heading to Orlando for a Disney Vacation. It has been a long time in the planning and we leave tomorrow morning at 6:30 a.m. on the first leg of our trip to Disney.
People at work have been wishing bad weather for Orlando, Florida when I’m there, but the forecast indicates clear blue skies and temperatures in the mid-twenties. I know it may not seem like a great time of the year to go to Florida, or to visit Disney on a vacation. However, we are leaving tomorrow when the temperature will be -15 celcius here in Corner Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador. The temperature in Orlando, Florida will be 18 celcius. That is a major difference.
Chosing February to go to Orlando and Disney was easy. My son had decided he did not want to go during Easter. He has a job waiting for him and this job was directly related to his studies. Plus, my daughter will be celebrating her 13th birthday while we are in Disney! What a way to turn an official teen. Yes she is excited!
With Disney just around the corner, it is becoming a little difficult to concentrate at work, and to maintain focus. I am trying, really I am, but the thoughts of the blue sky of Orlando, Florida and spending some time away from the hassles at the office are making this worth every minute!
My blog updates may become somewhat less frequent. I will have my laptop and will be hopefully able to make a few posts while I am there. I want to be able to at least send some pictures to my co-workers, showing me in shorts & sandles while they are bundled in their winter clothing!
Look out Orlando, Florida! Look out Disney! 1 more sleep and we’ll be there.

Your vacation sounds fantastic. Are you staying in an Orlando villa or did you choose to stay in one of the Disney hotels. I just love being in Orlando this time of year. The weather is perfect. Have fun and enjoy wearing your shorts!
We stayed at the Disney Resort. It was much more convenient and we wanted to experience the full “Disney”.
Hmm… sounds like a nice vacations.
