OK, it’s now official. Newfoundland weather literally sucks! I know that it’s Newfoundland and we can expect anything in weather here from snow, rain, sunshine, frost and hail – all before noon in the middle of July – but waking up this morning to about 5 cm of snow just sucks! It is spring right?
Yes, it’s somewhat of a Newfoundland tradition to go camping on the May 24 weekend and get buried in the snow. That doesn’t mean I have to like it!
I love where I live. Newfoundland is one of the most beautiful places that I have ever visited. I’m proud to be a Newfoundlander and think that we have the most unique and diverse culture around. We have some of the friendliest people around and are known for our hospitality. We have some of the most unique Newfoundland products available, many of which I so enjoy! It doesn’t mean that Newfoundland weather doesn’t suck!
Driving to work was so discouraging. It rained the entire weekend, turned to sleet and hail late Sunday and then this morning the ground was white! Unbelievable. I have a colleague that is returning from a 3 week vacation down south. Welcome home Bruce – hope you enjoy our great Newfoundland weather!
