It’s now time for a much needed update and a total refocus of efforts.
Those who follow my blog have probably noticed the lack of updates in the last few months. Several factors have contributed to my lack of “visibility” on the blog side.
My partners and I have finally finished the dissolution of our company. It took a little longer than we had hoped but as of today, I think it’s officially done. No more BEK Computer Services Inc after 15 plus years in operation. It doesn’t mean I’m not a “business” person but my bricks-and-mortar business doesn’t exist. I still have several online businesses that are operational.
My Internet revenue stream has steadily increased when compared to last year’s numbers which makes me happy. In fact, in March 2011 I had doubled the revenue I had received in March 2010, which is a great sign that efforts are paying off.
I’ve also made a few decisions around my personal blog and it’s been 18 months since I’ve had a redesign. Check back in the next while and you will see a major rework of the site if all goes as planned. I’ve puchased a new theme and I’m working now to customize it. I’ll reveal those details when I launch the new site.
I’ve also decided to refocus the efforts on this blog a bit. When it was first launched it was to be about Marketing, Business and Technology News, but it quickly became more of a personal home with my writings, interests and take on things taking over. Promoting things that were well covered in many other media sites seem a bit moot now that I’ve done it for a while and I’m going to put a new spin on things.
I’ll still cover some of the technology and business things that interest me but I’m going to refocus more on the things that I’m doing, provide my opinion on things as they happen and share some of the lessons I’ve learned developing sites and in SEO.
Thanks to everyone who have sent words of encouragement and who continue to visit my blog.
