Have you heard the whole internet has turned social? Being successful online means connecting with clients and customers on social level?
Being social is the new reality of having a successful business. Recognizing the importance of having a website talking about products and services is a small portion of having an online presence. To be successful companies must have a presence on the new social landscape.
They must reach out to an engage their customers through social interaction and have an effective social marketing campaign.
Facebook is the largest social platform with its 800 million users. It offers unprecedented access to engage and interact with customers than any other social platform. Companies big or small must have effective social marketing campaigns within Facebook if they want to be successful but often lack the knowhow.
Companies such as KeyBrokerSocial can help develop a social marketing strategy that targets your customers where they spend most of their online time … on Facebook. By examining user interests, their interactions and activities on Facebook, companies can dramatically increase the effectiveness of their online presence.
Think about how users interact socially on Facebook. They freely share information about themselves, their family, products they like, what they are doing and where they are going. Capturing this data and developing a market plan to deliver engaging and meaningful advertising in real time has amazing potential.
Businesses can maximize the effectiveness of their marketing dollars by targeting their clients directly, engaging them directly in the process. Imagine smarter ads, smarter campaigns and more sales by providing people an opportunity to be involved in the marketing process. This is what social media marketing offers to businesses.
It doesn’t stop at Facebook. Google+ and Twitter also occupy the social landscape, competing for its share of this ever growing social market. These companies have also recognized the social revolution taking place online and want a piece of this growing market from both an operations and marketing perspective.
As the social landscape matures in the months to come, businesses that have successfully reached out and engaged its customers socially will thrive.
What’s your social marketing strategy? Do you want your business to be successful?

Now that I have read the way companies know what ads you like, I have a question. Isn’t it illegal to transfer the information to the 3rd parties? I mean, yeah, it’s all just about our interests and likes; however. this is information. If Facebook indeed let’s companies know these details, I wonder how come nobody tried to sue it for that?
It would depend on what’s actually spelled out in the terms of service and privacy policy of the companies. Some of them clearly spell out they will share information with their partners. I suggest people read those two pieces of info on the sites closely!
Hi Barry,
Thanks for sharing!
I agree that social media marketing has indeed become one of the most popular methods of how to get traffic and customers to your site. Facebook is the most popular so far, haven’t really tried Twitter’s powers yet.
Twitter requires much more of an effort. Some use automated tools but those are really not social are they?
I am looking for white-hat methods to market my websites using the social/ web 2.0 platforms, but its quite involving. Is there a software for automating the marketing that is not black-hat? Thanks in advance.
