With 2010 now just a memory, one always wonders what a new year will bring.
2010 was my second full year of blogging. I had many highs and lows throughout the year on both a professional and personal note that impacted my blogging effort and unfortunately, ended 2010 on a low, neglecting my social networking efforts and many of the websites I operate. As well, it saw the close of my “brick and mortar” business that was operating for over 15-years, another significan low in my life.
On a personal note, I made significant changes in my life, losing 60 pounds from June 2 to November 21. I started running again, averaging 20 to 25 kilometers a week – the main reason for me dropping 60 pounds in 6 months. I also reached my goal of running 20 KM and actually exceed that goal by running 22.6 KM. I participated in several “races” and while I didn’t win, it was a personal victory just to finish the races.
As I reflect on my accomplishments I’ve made in 2010, I have decided that 2011 will be a new year for me. I plan to renew building my online presence, tackling some SEO efforts I’ve been neglecting, blogging regularly, launching a few new websites I’ve postponed for some time and revamping several that I have. I want to maintain my level of exercise and keep leading a relatively healthy lifestyle.
My goal for 2011 on a professional side is to build my online businesses and to double my online income. I realize this is a significant goal and will take a considerable effort but without setting a goal, I have nothing to work towards. I also plan on learning more about t his wonderful world of “making money online”, SEO and some of the advanced SEO techniques I’ve read about.
On a personal side, I want to keep running, read several books (something I have missed doing), take several vacations doing things I have always dreamed of doing and to write a novel. I also want to continue helping out in the community volunteering and being more involved with several community groups.
Yes, 2011 is a time for change in my life and while I have set goals others may think are simple pipe dreams, I like challenging myself to be the best person I can.
Happy New Year to my readers! May 2011 be prosperous for you and your family.
