You’re a blogger and you have a goal of making it rich. You have found a list of high paying Google Adsense keywords on some obscure blog and you know the basics of SEO.
The rest is just hard work right? You can develop some content around those keywords, do some link building and some basic on-page SEO and you’re in business right?
Wrong.
If your blogging to make money and Adsense is your primary source of revenue, you’re swimming upstream in shark-infested waters.
Many novice bloggers are lured into dreaming about making money online because they’re read about the success stories of some blogger who has struck it rich using Adsense. Many of these were they hype generated by the bloggers themselves after they posted photos of their Adsense earnings.
You can make money with Google Adsense. However, if you’re considering this your only revenue stream, making the reported large sums of money shown is a lot of work and comes from having ads on multiple sites.
The lure of high paying keywords causes many bloggers to fail.
These niches do exist but they are filled by hundreds of competitors. You are not the only person with this list or access to this coveted information.
Don’t kid yourself to think you can step into a niche and rank in a couple of months by writing content and performing basic SEO. It isn’t going to happen.
Making money blogging is hard work. These high paying keywords do not make it easier.
Sites that do well in these areas have established traffic, have writers constantly pumping out articles and continually drive traffic. They are machines at making money from Adsense and most bloggers lack the resources (time, energy and advertising dollars) to compete.
These sites also spend money to make money.
What you don’t see from the stories published about these “successful” bloggers is how much it cost them to make the money they did. If they tell you they do no marketing they’re lying to you.
Generating revenue from these high paying keywords requires an enormous effort and you have to be constantly writing, publishing, driving traffic and monitoring your competition.
Didn’t I say it was shark-infested waters?
These passive revenue streams based on these high paying keywords requires a lot of traffic to become profitable. You have to be constantly feeding the search engines fresh content to attract organic search and you have to spend money marketing your sites if you want to have any chances of making a decent living this way.
There are better ways to make money online!
The next time you see a list of these high paying Google Adsense keywords, don’t get caught up on the illusion of making it rich. Move on to something more profitable.
What are your thoughts on these high paying keyword lists? Do you think you can make a living just from Google Adsense?

Very cool, I am just starting to learn about search engine optimization, so I am reading every article I can find, thank you very much for yours. I will definitely be back to read more
Hi Barry,
I agree with you that Google Adsense is a great way to earn money for bloggers, but not everyone can earn big from it.
Hi Felicia,
Thanks for stopping by. Adsense does have its pluses, but not for long term success. People should take a more active role in building their revenue stream. Don’t you agree?
Barry
Hi Barry,
In my opinion, one of the great ways on how to earn online is by means of residual income. Even if earning residually is slow too, it still pays off one way or the other. I guess selling products/services are the best ways to earn good income online for bloggers.
Yep, I totally agree with you! Although I do envy those who have a large income coming from Adsense
Felicia, I’m not denying the power of Adsense to generate some great money. I make a nice revenue from it. I’m just saying it shouldn’t be your only mechanism for making money online.
Thanks for stopping by.
